Plan appliance use with hourly electricity prices
Wattlivo ·
A useful schedule needs complete prices, a power estimate and a realistic running time. Wattlivo compares continuous windows using the hourly values you provide.
Prepare the hourly series
Record the date, hour and applicable total rate for each hour you want to compare. Keep the time convention consistent, especially around clock changes. Do not substitute a wholesale market price for your household rate unless the charges really match your contract. Leave unknown prices absent rather than entering zero.
Model a complete running window
Add the appliance power in kW and its whole-hour duration. A 2 kW device running for two hours at €0.20 and €0.35 per kWh costs an estimated €1.10: 2 × (0.20 + 0.35). The planner requires a price for every hour in a candidate window. A missing hour invalidates that window instead of making it look artificially cheap.
Use the result as a plan
Compare the suggested window with when the appliance can actually run and with its operating instructions. Real devices may vary their power during a cycle, so the calculation is an estimate. Wattlivo does not remotely control equipment. Record measured outcomes and label estimated savings separately from savings you have confirmed.
